Why Now
Stripe’s Agentic Commerce Protocol, ChatGPT shopping, and Shopify’s AI agents all went live in the past 12 months. The new layer needs a taste engine. Without one, agents default to cheapest-highest-rated, which is not gifting.
62% of US consumers now prefer personalized gifts. The global personalized gifts market grew from $40.9B in 2022 to a projected $138B by 2030, a 13% CAGR. Shopify merchants rank personalization as their #1 conversion lever.
Amazon’s gifting patent (US10169803B2) is demographic and history-based. Gimmie’s provisional patent covers a fundamentally different path: color input transformed into a psychological archetype. Psychology is portable. History is not.
